Interactive contemporary art and music event seeking artists who indulge the senses.
BELOIT, Wisc. – A brand new event will take place in downtown Beloit this fall: DEVIATE, an interactive art exhibition-meets-party, featuring contemporary art, food and drink, and live music in an energetic, industrial environment.
For one night only, on Saturday, October 15th from 6pm – 11pm, the Ironworks Campus in downtown Beloit will be transformed into the ultimate scene for artists and musicians to showcase their talent. There is no entry fee for artists, but those interested must apply to exhibit during the event.
The goal of DEVIATE is to create a high-energy, one-of-a-kind experience in downtown Beloit that celebrates the city’s continued growth, modernism and growing art culture. The event will indulge the senses and push the limits of creativity and expression; expect to see live music and DJ’s on multiple stages, lighting landscapes, painters, photographers, dancers, sculptors, live artists and more.
DEVIATE comes from Ryan Hickey, the mastermind behind Indianapolis-based arts and music festival, ORANJE(2002-2018). One of the largest and most prestigious events of its kind in the Midwest, ORANJE brought thousands of art and music lovers to its one-night event inside various Indianapolis vacant industrial spaces, including the former Coca-Cola bottling plant at Indy’s Bottleworks District.
“The barriers between artists and patrons can be broken down when a little fun is injected into the equation,” said Ryan Hickey, director of entertainment and programming at Geronimo Hospitality Group. “I’m excited to bring this experience to Beloit and hope everyone will embrace it.”
DEVIATE is a 21+ event and open to the public. General Admission and VIP tickets go on sale August 1st. Food vendors and cash bar will be available on-site.
Artists interested in participating should visit www.deviatebeloit.com/artist to apply. Follow DEVIATE on Facebook or Instagram for the latest artist and event updates.
