Annual Community Event Teams Up with Tito’s Handmade Vodka to Raise Funds for Veterans
BELOIT, Wis. (September 1, 2026) – The Beloit Taco Takedown, hosted by Henry Dorrbaker’s Pub & Play, proudly announces that its 2026 event, held August 8 along the Ironworks Campus Spine in downtown Beloit, raised $3,052 for local non-profit, VetsRoll. The funds were raised in collaboration with Tito’s Handmade Vodka and generous contributions from event guests.
Throughout the event, one dollar from every Tito’s Handmade Vodka drink sold benefited VetsRoll, with Taco Takedown guests contributing additional donations throughout the day. Together, these contributions gave attendees the chance to support the organization while enjoying one of Beloit’s signature annual community events.
“VetsRoll is a cause we’re proud to support, and seeing our guests rally behind the organization made this year’s Taco Takedown even more meaningful,” said Jamie Swan, general manager of Henry Dorrbaker’s. “We’re grateful to everyone who came out, enjoyed some tacos and drinks and helped up turn a fun day in Beloit into support that will make a meaningful difference for local veterans.”
The funds donated to VetsRoll will help support the organization’s annual trip, which gives approximately 200 WWII and Korean Era Veterans and ‘Rosie the Riveters’ the no-cost opportunity to travel to Washington, D.C., where they visit war memorials, Arlington National Cemetery and the National Museum of the United States Air Force.
The third annual Beloit Taco Takedown brought together restaurants, businesses and community members from across the Stateline area for a day of tacos, drinks, live entertainment and friendly competition in downtown Beloit. This year, Venenos Fiery Tacos of Beloit earned the People’s Choice title, as voted on by event guests, while Lex’IRRIAZ of Janesville took home the Judges’ Choice Best Taco honor and coveted Championship Belt. Jaliscoast Rayo of Rockford was named first runner-up.
